For Those Who Teach the Children

Your love and care has meant so much
To our little girl,
Your gentleness and patience
Have helped to shape her little world.

She’s learned to trust by watching
How you talk and how you pray,
And she’s seen a giving spirit
In how you give your heart away.

For long ago the Savior
With a smile revealed a plan,
He’d send someone to little ones
To show His loving hand.

He’d send someone who’d marvel
At what children say and do,
And who’d understand their eagerness
To seek and know the Truth.

For God in all His wisdom
Knows children’s every need,
And some He sends to water
And some to plant the seed.

So remember when the Master
Returns to claim His own,
He’ll thank you for your faithfulness
To these, His little ones.

Father, you have so blessed our family with godly teachers and mentors. Thank you for their commitment to seeking Your will and in using their gifts for Your glory. We ask for your blessings on the lives of those who serve you by teaching the children in Sunday School, Worship, Children’s Church, Mission Friends, Girls in Action, Acteens, Truth Seekers, Basic, and Bible Drill. Thank you for their partnership in the gospel! Thank you for the body of Christ!
